Usrah Budi 1

Hi and Assalamualaikum everyone, ๐Ÿ’œ

On 13 of April 2021, I recently joined my first Usrah Budi in IIUM which my lovely instructor, sister Nur Adilah Hani, conducted.๐Ÿ’“

In this Usrah Budi, I just have to do two things. First and foremost, I must complete my e-portfolio in every lesson in class and create a poster based on the topics assigned by my instructor.๐Ÿ™†

THE LESSONS I GOT FROM EVERY SESSION:

๐Ÿ’จWEEK 2: WHAT IS THE MEANING OF USRAH  :)

 From this week, I know that usrah can be defined as a family in Arabic word. As we all know, usrah has come to mean supporting and assisting individuals in developing a better life by knowing and applying Islamic teachings.

Next 3 pillars of usrah;

              i) taaruf        =  introduction and getting to know one another

             ii) tafahum    = mutual understanding

            iii) taawun      = equitability, mutual cooperation, assistance, care, and concern

Besides, other lessons I got from this week are the etiquettes in usrah that we must have such as;

i. sincerity of intention

ii. giving salam – warm greetings

iii. commitment to knowledge

iv. respect for the naqibah (usrah facilitator)

๐Ÿ’จWEEK 3: THE PILLARS OF ISLAM AND IMAN  :)

PILLARS OF ISLAM

The profession of Faith (shahada)

  ๐Ÿ‘‰ Shahada is like a key for non-Muslim to enter Islam. Furthermore, we as Muslims always said shahada in every prayer as it will keep on reminding God and Prophet Muhammad S.A.W

Prayer (salat).

๐Ÿ‘‰ Muslim need to pray 5 times a day; Subuh, Zuhur, Asar, Maghrib and Isya'. We need to perform prayer every day to ease and get his redho in every aspect of what we are doing.

Alms (zakat)

๐Ÿ‘‰Social responsibility is considered part of one's service to God; the obligatory act of zakat enshrines this duty. Zakat prescribes payment of fixed proportions of a Muslim's possessions for the welfare of the entire community and in particular for its neediest members.

Fasting (sawm).

๐Ÿ‘‰In month of Ramadhan, we can improve our ibadah. Every Muslim need to fast as it mentioned in Qur'an

Pilgrimage (hajj).

 ๐Ÿ‘‰For those who can perform hajj in the aspect of health and wealth, they need to perform it. Hajj, the pilgrimage to Makkah, is the fifth pillar and the most significant manifestation of Islamic faith and unity in the world.

PILLARS OF IMAN

Believe in God

There is no God except Allah S.W.T which gives barakah in everything we do

Believe to Angel

The angels are created from lights and are the messengers from Allah to human beings.

Believe to Quran

Zaboor sent to Prophet Daud

Taurah sent to Prophet Musa

Injeel sent to Prophet Isa

Qur'an  sent to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W

Believe to prophet

There are 25 messengers Muslims need to know to make them believe in the prophet

Believe in Qadha' and Qadar

We need to redho in every situation we faced as to avoid ourselves from being unrespectful towards God

Believe in Hereafter

A strong belief in the Hereafter strongly influences our actions in this world.

๐Ÿ’จWEEK 4: ADAB TOWARDS PARENTS, SOCIETY, AND NEIGHBORS

Adab towards parents is the most important thing because they are the ones who birth, raise and feed us. From that, we need to respect them with a full of heart to make sure they do not hurt with words that come out from their children.

First, as children, we need to control our voice when we speak to them and just speak politely. It shows as a sign of our respect for them.

Moreover, when the parent asks for help, the children need to respond to it and send help for them. Just helping them with a small matter, God will give reward to the children.

Furthermore, always dua’ to our parents to have a healthy life, have a long life, and always be happy whenever they are.

Besides, we also as human beings cannot ignore our neighborhood. It is because prophet S.A.W. said: on one occasion, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said that a man is really good if his neighbors regard him as such and he is bad if they consider him so. In brief, Islam requires all neighbors to be loving and cooperative with one another and share their sorrows and happiness.

Last but not least, there's nothing wrong with encouraging others to change or become better, particularly if we see anything that shouldn't be done in public. In Islam, we are obligated to Amar Ma'ruf, Nahi Munkar (enjoining what is right and prohibiting what is wrong). We have a responsibility to counsel others about what is right and good, and those who receive such advice should be grateful.

What can we do to show respect to the neighbors?

  •           Give help when they in need.
  •           Don’t do anything which can disturb them during their rest at night
  •           Always interact or give food to them to make the relationship more crucial.

POSTER ASSESSMENT;

Another assignment that I need to do is a poster. This photo, it shows the ways of myself to cherish my life? This is important because every human being needs to have appreciation towards themselves to feel great in doing something. Besides, this is to avoid ourselves from mental health. As we all know, mental health becomes a famous issue around the world because it comes from the anxiety of ourselves, depression, and others. This related to people itself to be more creative in cherishing their life.

My wishes from this usrah;

All of the thanks to my facilitator, sister Adilah Hani, who is too kind toward her usrah and always patient whenever she ask questions to us.๐Ÿ’œ
 Thank you for sharing informational knowledge that will beneficial for us in the future.๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ™Œ
I hope I can use all of the content from usrah in every session to deliver to other people as well. As Allah said who deliver knowledge, can get barakah from him.
I'm also hoping that I will be a better person to all human beings in being kind toward them and others.
